Same Day T-Shirt Printing Australia - No Minimums

Getting your gear printed shouldn't be a headache. Whether you're hitting up The Valley for a night out or setting up a stall at the South Bank markets, you want your kit to look sharp.

In the world of Brisbane online tshirt printing, the difference between a "meh" shirt and a masterpiece comes down to the design. We’ve seen thousands of files come through the So Boss workshop.

Want to avoid the common traps? Follow these expert T-shirt design tips to make sure your next order is a total banger.

1. Nail the Resolution (Don't Be Blurry)

The biggest mistake people make with t-shirt printing online is using low-quality images. If you pull a tiny thumbnail off social media, it’s going to look like a pixelated mess when we blow it up for a custom tee.

Set your canvas to 300 DPI. Always. This ensures every line is crisp and every color is solid. Designing for a massive back print? Make the file size match the actual print size. If it’s blurry on your screen, it’ll be blurry on the shirt.

Design. Check. Export.

2. Transparency is Your Best Friend

When you're looking for a custom t-shirt near me, you probably want your logo to sit cleanly on the fabric. You don't want a big, ugly white box around your artwork.

Always export your files as a transparent PNG. This tells our DTG machines exactly where to lay down the ink and where to let the shirt color show through. If you’re printing on a black shirt, make sure your background is actually gone, not just "hidden" behind a layer.

3. High Contrast Always Wins

DTG (Direct to Garment) printing loves detail, but it needs contrast to really pop. If you put dark navy text on a black shirt, it’s going to disappear faster than a meat pie at a footy match.

Go for bold. Think bright whites on dark fabrics or deep blacks on light sage or stone tees. Use high-contrast colors to ensure your message is readable from across the street. This is especially true for custom hoodies where the fabric texture is a bit heavier.

4. Keep Your Fonts Bold and Brave

We love a fancy script font as much as the next person, but thin lines can be tricky. Hairline strokes sometimes struggle to grab enough ink to stay vibrant after a few washes.

Pick. Bold. Fonts.

If you’re using a thin font, add a slight stroke or outline to give it some "beef." This makes the printing process smoother and ensures your design stays looking fresh for years, not just weeks.

5. Master the Scale and Placement

What looks huge on your iPhone screen might look tiny on a 3XL tee. Before you hit "order" on your online tshirt printing project, double-check the scale.

A standard front print is usually around 25cm to 30cm wide. Grab a ruler. Hold it up to your chest. Does it look right? If you’re unsure, print your design out on a standard piece of A4 paper and tape it to a shirt. It’s a low-tech hack that saves a high-tech disaster.

Fast Fashion, Faster Dispatch

Need it yesterday? We get it. Life moves fast in Brissy, and sometimes you need your merch to keep up.

We offer Same Day Print and Despatch exclusively for our DTG orders. If you place a DTG order today, we can get it out the door the same afternoon. For metro areas (assuming Australia Post plays ball), you’ll usually see your gear within 48 hours.

(Note: Customer pick-up is strictly not allowed for orders placed online. We keep our warehouse humming and our delivery drivers moving.)

Understanding the Print Tech

Not all printing is created equal. Here is how we handle your orders:

  • DTG (Direct to Garment): The gold standard for detail. Available for same-day dispatch. Perfect for one-offs and small runs.

  • DTF (Direct to Film): Great for durability on complex fabrics. We do not offer same-day dispatch for DTF.

  • Screen Printing: Perfect for the massive runs. This is never a same-day service.

Need a Bulk Order?

Are you organizing a massive event in The Gong or outfitting a whole team in Freo? We’ve got you covered.

For bulk orders, email us directly for a more personalized experience.

When you email us for a custom quote, the turnaround is a bit slower than the online "express" route, but it allows for more flexibility. Plus, for offline email orders, we can arrange for customer pick-up from our spots in Leumeah (NSW) or Griffin (QLD).

Personalized Aprons? No Problem.

Looking for custom aprons for your new cafe? Don't wait around. Most of the other guys will keep you waiting 14 days just to get a proof. At So Boss, we deliver your personalised aprons in less than half that time: always under 7 days.

Cook. Serve. Look Boss.
